Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals

The Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals was instituted to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of the International Building Codes. It serves as the sole appeal body for those codes. The board consists of members appointed by the Board of Commissioners who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters about building construction.  The Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals meets as needed. Members serve staggered three-year terms.

The Dawson County Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals will hold a Special Called Meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, concerning Paradise Valley's appeal of the requirement of commercial permit applications for structures. The meeting will be held in the Assembly Room on the second floor of the Dawson County Government Center, 25 Justice Way, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
