DBHDD (Region One Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities

Region One Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Planning Board serves 37 counties, including Dawson. Its purpose is to facilitate coordinated and comprehensive planning for disability services in mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases in conformity with standards established by the DBHDD Division of the Department of Human Resources. The Board solicits input from consumers and their families, providers of such services, and appropriate agencies and advocacy groups in making annual plans to be submitted to the Division. The Board meets once every two months.
