No One Alone
NOA (No One Alone) is a non-profit organization providing emergency shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. We also provide services to women, children and men who are experiencing domestic violence in their lives but don’t need to come into shelter. NOA serves Dawson and Lumpkin counties. Not only are victims sheltered from physical and emotional violence, they are provided with food, clothing, transportation, medicine and personal necessities.
The domestic violence program also offers:
- 24 hour crisis line
- Individual and group counseling
- Children’s program
- Play Therapy
- Legal Advocacy
- Case Management
- Home Visits
- Financial assistance
- Parenting classes
- School prevention program
Providing domestic violence prevention and services is very important to prevent homicide and keep our communities safe. NOA is dependent on funding and donations to ensure that “No One is Alone” and “No One” has to return to a violent situation. All donations help connect victims with safe shelter and support services.
