Job Title:  Administrative Assistant
Department: Dawson County Emergency Services
Location:  Dawsonville, GA  30534
Salary:  $17.13 Hourly DOQ
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Emergency Services and Chief Staff.

Job Requirements: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides a sufficient level of understanding of the essential duties of the position.  Experience working with Public Safety and/or County Government preferred. Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional interpersonal communication, data entry and organizational skills; be skilled in operating modern office equipment and knowledge in office procedures and administrative methods. Applicant must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
