How to Schedule a Ride

Dawson Transit operates on an advanced reservation basis, and on a first-come, first-serve basis.  To schedule a trip, call our office from 8:00 a.m. -  4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.  Please schedule your trip at least 48 hours before your requested trip time. 

Buses run from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.  Buses do not operate on weekends, evenings or on special holidays.

Areas of Service:
  • Dawson County: Monday-Friday   
  • Dahlonega: Monday-Friday
  • Cumming: Tuesday & Thursday
  • Gainesville: Tuesday & Thursday
Fees:
  • Dawson County: $2.00 each direction
  • Dahlonega: $4.00 each direction
  • Cumming: $4.00 each direction
  • Gainesville: $6.00 each direction

  • Local Parks
  • Local Shopping
  • Medical Appointments in surrounding counties:  Forsyth, Hall and Lumpkin.
