NOTICE OF MEETING CHANGE
The Board of Elections and Registration of Dawson County shall cancel its regularly scheduled meeting of December 19, 2024. Business will resume at the January 16, 2025 scheduled meeting at 9:30 am. All members will meet at The Board of Elections office at 96 Academy Avenue. Any questions or concerns, please call the Elections office at 706-344-3640.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
O.C.G.A. §21-2-386(2)(A) and SEB Rule 183-1-14-.14 allows county election superintendents
to begin opening absentee oath envelopes that have been verified and accepted,
and scanning absentee ballots on ICCs. Early processing and scanning shall be open to the public.
Therefore: Dawson County Board of Elections & Registration will conduct the early opening
and scanning of absentee ballots on November 1, 2024 & November 5, 2024
Time: 12 noon until completion on 11/1/24 and 5:00 pm until complete on
11/5/24 prior to the November 5th General/Special Election.
Location: Board of Elections Office at 96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, GA 30534
The process will not produce any tabulated results or any partially tabulated results,
but only allow for the opening and scanning of voted absentee ballots.
These opened and scanned ballots will be tabulated after the close of election on November 5, 2024.

NOTICE OF COMPUTATION & CANVASSING OF RETURNS
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that
the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the
November 5, 2024 General/Special Election will be held in the office of the
County Election Supervisor at 96 Academy Avenue, in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Consolidation will commence on Wednesday,
November 6, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and continue until completion.
