Tax Assessors create easier-to-use website for citizens
DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – The Dawson County Board of Tax Assessors updated its website Thursday, April 18 to make it easier for citizens to access the most current information on Dawson County Properties.
Their goal is to provide the people of Dawson County with a website that is simple and leads them to the most accurate and up-to-date info available.
You can search their site for information on property in Dawson County, including general information on properties as well as downloadable forms, and helpful links to state and local agencies. The information on the Tax Assessors’ site reflects the values established in the “most current published” tax digest, and/or current tax year preliminary value information. The information in their site represents current data from a working file which is updated continuously. Information is believed reliable, but its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. No warranty, expressed or implied, is provided for the data herein, or its use.
“Several citizens have shared input and suggested how we could provide a more user-friendly website,” said Elaine Garrett, Chief Appraiser. “We listened to those folks and are excited about what the new site has to offer the citizens of Dawson County.”
The mission of the Dawson County Board of Assessors is to annually appraise at fair market value all real and personal property subject to taxation in Dawson County.
